Tactical Tech toolkits and guides micro-grant guidelines
As the person responsible for this micro-grant you will need to agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. The materials will be distributed free of cost or at a reasonable cost charged only to help cover event related costs or to support a local non-profit digital technology initiative. All attempts will be made to ensure the materials are given to Tactical Tech's target audiences: human rights advocates, technologists, citizen journalists, independent bloggers and journalists, and NGOs. Secondary audiences also include students, education organisations, journalists, photographers and film-makers;
2. I will return the 'toolkit distribution evaluation form' which documents who the materials were given to. I will return this form within three weeks after my event;
3. I will write a short news story that includes photographs about the event and how Tactical Tech's materials were used. Where possible this will include quotes from the event participants. I will return this form within three weeks after my event (if you do not wish us to publish information about your event for privacy/security reasons please let us know in advance);
4. I am the person who the materials will be sent to and I will ensure the name and address entered are correctly provided or the person I have nominated has agreed to accept these materials and I have checked the address is correct. If I enter the incorrect details for the delivery details of materials I will take responsibility for any problems this may cause with customs;
5. I will cover any taxes that are likely to be charged for sending DVDs/CDs/books by the country customs office where the materials will be received, unless otherwise agreed with Tactical Tech; and
6. I understand that because these materials support rights advocacy and document the use of technology to uncover rights abuses, they may be sensitive materials under oppressive governments and regimes. I have looked at the online version of these materials and feel they will not be a problem with my government. If you have any questions regarding this, you should speak with Tactical Tech.
