About eRiding

eRiders: Grassroots Technology

eRiders are roving information and communications technology (ICT) consultants who provide one-to-one advice, planning, training and on-going support to non-governmental organisations (NGOs). Rather than being external technology experts, or expensive corporate advisors, eRiders are local experts with a combination of technical flair, consultancy skills and a strong NGO background. We see eRiders as a critical element for NGO's to integrate technology into their work.

Tactical Tech has helped to establish several eRider projects in Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Southern Africa. We also play a part in the development of the global eRider movement by fostering sustainable connections, learning and exchange between a broad range of projects. We are currently working to build potential for independent growth and replication among eRider projects. For more on eRiding see our eRider Summary or eRider FAQs.
